Home Opticians is a specialist domiciliary optical service. For two decades, we have delivered expert NHS eye care outside the traditional high street practice, reaching people who, for all kinds of reasons, cannot easily reach us.
Over that time we have developed a particular passion and expertise for one of the most rewarding and demanding areas of our profession: eye care for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. Alongside this, we provide trusted sight testing in care homes and within the secure prison estate.
What connects all of our work is a simple belief: that expert eye care should be available to everyone, regardless of their circumstances, and that it should be delivered with skill, patience, and dignity.
Our care is led by an experienced Principal Optometrist who personally delivers the majority of our sight tests. We bring genuine clinical depth to the most complex cases.
We never rush. We adapt to the person in front of us, however long that takes and however many visits it needs.
We are always looking for better ways to serve our patients, smarter use of technology, clearer reporting, and thoughtful touches that make a real difference to people's lives.
